Strategic Tanks is a Christchurch-based company, providing New Zealand businesses with Transtank fully-portable diesel fuel storage and dispensing modules.  Ranging from 2,000 litre right through to 100,000- litre capacities, these tanks are state-of-the-art.  Strategic Tanks’ range of larger Transtanks are also built to ISO standards, so they are containers in their own right.  With a modern emphasis on ease of freight handling, Transtanks are by far the most portable option. Smart, solid and versatile

Transtanks have a range of features that means that they’re superior to any comparable product currently on the market - but still available at a competitive price:

 - Transtank modules have a unique ‘double skin’ which means they carry their own bunding as part of their structure - even the pump-well is bunded.

 - Transtanks are a 'square' tank, allowing more fuel to be stored on    their footprint than conventional cylindrical tanks.

 - Transtanks are secure.  Built from first grade steel and with lockable container fastenings.

 - Transtanks come with a overfill protection valve.  This operates automatically as the tank fills, shutting the valve and preventing overfilling of the tank

 - There’s also the Transtank anti-syphon valve, which ensures that product cannot syphon out of the tank if damage occurs to the pumping mechanism or piping.

They’re better when they’re bunded

Wherever your Transtank is placed, it does not require expensive and clumsy exterior ‘bunding’; which refers to the legally-required ‘containment area’, placed around a fuel tank to stop any possible spillage. 

This ‘bunding’ must be able to contain 110% of the fuel storage capacity of the tank it surrounds.  Ordinarily built from concrete, the ‘bund’ becomes a problem when you wish to move your tank to another location.  The old bunding must be removed and a new bund must be formed at the new location.  This bunding also has a tendency to fill every time it rains.

• For customers with no power onsite, we provide a range of options, from electric pumps that run off your vehicle, to diesel fuelled engine pumping, solar panels, diesel fuelled generator, or even a mixture of these based on your requirements.
• We can help you with fuel accounting, with options ranging from a flow meter through to a fuel management system that will send you a detailed report every week outlining exactly when and where fuel was consumed.
• We can also ‘dial’ into your facility every day, electronically check fuel levels and tell your fuel supplier how much is on site.  The supplier will then despatch the fuel needed to top up your tank; so you’ll never have any down time again.
• When it comes to fuel for generator sets, lighting towers or pumps, direct-couple our tanks - they are as portable as the units they are supplying.
